Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how LA BESONTO collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information when you visit our website, browse products, submit an order request, contact us, or otherwise interact with our online store.

By using this website, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. This policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions, Shipping Policy, and Returns & Refunds Policy.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected through the LA BESONTO storefront, customer communications, order-request forms, review submissions, and related customer-service interactions. It does not govern the independent privacy practices of third-party websites, payment providers, shipping carriers, or other services that maintain their own privacy notices.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the website, we may collect the following categories of information:

  • Contact information: name, email address, telephone number, and other information you provide when contacting us.
  • Order-request information: products selected, quantities, delivery address, city, state, ZIP code, order notes, preferred contact or payment method, and related communications.
  • Transaction-related information: order status, payment confirmation information, refund information, and records reasonably necessary to administer an order. Our public order-request form is not intended to collect full payment-card numbers, CVV codes, banking passwords, or similar sensitive credentials.
  • Customer-service information: questions, compatibility requests, complaints, return requests, photographs voluntarily supplied in connection with a product issue, and other correspondence.
  • Review information: name or display name, product reviewed, rating, review text, order reference, and any product photo voluntarily submitted through an approved review or form service.
  • Device and usage information: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages viewed, referring pages, approximate location derived from IP, session information, and website interaction data.
  • Cookie and similar technology information: identifiers used for essential storefront functions, cart operation, preferences, analytics, fraud prevention, and, where enabled, advertising or measurement.

3. Sources of Personal Information

We may receive personal information directly from you, automatically from your browser or device, from Shopify as our commerce platform, from service providers that help operate the store, and from payment, fulfillment, communication, fraud-prevention, analytics, or customer-support services used in connection with our operations.

4. How We Use Personal Information

We may use personal information for legitimate business purposes including:

  • operating, maintaining, securing, and improving the website;
  • maintaining carts and responding to product searches;
  • reviewing and confirming order requests;
  • confirming availability, shipping information, and final order totals before payment;
  • communicating payment instructions after an order request is reviewed;
  • processing, fulfilling, shipping, cancelling, returning, or refunding orders;
  • providing customer service and product-compatibility assistance;
  • detecting, investigating, and preventing fraud, abuse, security incidents, and other prohibited activity;
  • maintaining business, tax, accounting, transaction, and compliance records;
  • enforcing our policies and protecting the rights, safety, and property of customers, LA BESONTO, and others;
  • complying with lawful requests, court orders, subpoenas, and applicable legal obligations;
  • measuring store performance and improving navigation, content, products, and customer experience.

5. Order Requests and Payment Information

LA BESONTO uses an order-request process. Adding a product to the cart or submitting an order request does not itself collect payment through the public order-request form. After reviewing availability, shipping, and the final total, we may contact the customer with payment instructions.

Do not send full payment-card numbers, CVV codes, online-banking passwords, cryptocurrency recovery phrases, or other sensitive financial credentials through general contact, review, or order-note fields. When payment is processed through an authorized third-party payment service, that provider may collect and process payment information under its own terms and privacy policy.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our Shopify-powered storefront may use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies. Some are necessary to make the store function, such as maintaining cart contents, remembering privacy preferences, supporting security, and enabling core storefront features. Other technologies may support analytics, performance measurement, or advertising when those features are enabled.

You can control cookies through your browser and, where available, through Shopify customer-privacy controls displayed for your region. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the store from functioning correctly.

7. Shopify and Other Service Providers

This storefront is powered by Shopify. Shopify may process customer and device information to provide hosting, security, storefront functionality, cart services, fraud prevention, analytics, privacy controls, and other platform features. Depending on the services enabled for the store, additional apps or providers may also process information on our behalf.

We may use service providers for functions such as website hosting, email delivery, customer support, payment processing, fraud prevention, data storage, analytics, shipping, order fulfillment, and returns administration. These providers receive information only as reasonably necessary for their services or as otherwise permitted by law.

8. When We May Disclose Information

We may disclose personal information:

  • to Shopify and other vendors that provide services to our store;
  • to payment providers when necessary to complete a confirmed transaction;
  • to shipping carriers and fulfillment partners for delivery;
  • to professional advisers such as accountants, insurers, auditors, or legal advisers when reasonably necessary;
  • to government authorities or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect legal rights, prevent fraud, or address security issues;
  • in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to applicable law.

9. Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising

LA BESONTO does not knowingly sell personal information for monetary payment as a regular business practice. However, certain analytics, advertising, or platform technologies can be treated as a “sale,” “sharing,” or use for targeted advertising under some U.S. state privacy laws even when no money changes hands. If such processing applies to this store and applicable law grants you an opt-out right, we will provide or honor the required privacy controls.

10. U.S. State Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and whether a particular privacy law applies to LA BESONTO, you may have rights concerning your personal information. These may include the right to request access, correction, deletion, a portable copy of certain information, or information about categories of data processed or disclosed. Certain laws may also provide rights to opt out of qualifying sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling.

To submit a privacy request, email contact@labesonto.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” Describe the right you wish to exercise and provide enough information for us to identify the relevant records. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. Where applicable, authorized agents may submit requests subject to verification requirements.

We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. If applicable law provides a right to appeal a denied privacy request, you may request an appeal by replying to our decision and clearly stating that you wish to appeal.

11. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including order administration, customer service, fraud prevention, accounting, tax, recordkeeping, dispute resolution, enforcement of agreements, and legal compliance. Retention periods vary by data type and legal obligation.

12. Information Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect personal information. Nevertheless, no website, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Customers should use caution when sending information online and should never submit passwords or sensitive payment credentials through ordinary website text fields.

13. Children’s Privacy

The LA BESONTO store is intended for general commercial shopping and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children under 13 through the storefront. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us improperly, contact us so we can review the matter.

The website may contain links to third-party websites or services. LA BESONTO is not responsible for the privacy, security, or content practices of third parties. Review the privacy notices of any external service before providing personal information.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our services, technology, legal requirements, or business practices. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page identifies the latest revision. Material changes may be communicated through the website when appropriate.
